I play max settings as well, though I only play about 20-30 minutes a day. I'm able to play up to 30 minutes before it starts to heat up before throttling on medium settings. Lowering graphics settings might help. Try setting everything as low as possible, especially shadows, blur, and isometric fog.

We both play on PS4. I have to farm the Ascension monsters between us and refuse to do the level up quests to keep the world locked. When the same problem happened I had to farm the other stuff on a lower world but I had the ability to duo stuff. Not everyone has that luxury. You have my condolences. It sucks.
